flash platform! {desktop, mobile, touch screen…}

First day at ReMix has been so interesting, location is Microsoft Italian office in Segrate (Milano) and it is so cool.
In the beginning there was a general session where some Microsoft UK people showed the new Expression Studio.
Expression studio is composed by 4 softwares, the most powerful and interesting is Blend (we also viewed a preview of Blend 2).

In fact with Blend we use a visual IDE to create XAML and interactivity of WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation).
I found some powerful features in this product:
. video integration, we can view HD video over 1200 px width!
. data loaded are so light for the software and it can use massive datas and the app runs very well.
. visual data binding, in fact a designer can load XML or .Net script and visualize values and assign to design object.
For example, if in an XML we have an attributes with exadecimal value, with Blend we can visually transform it from a string to a colour object…amazing!
. 3D animation runs very speed and you can interact with them

Tomorrow I’ll have a most technical session on this technology, I’ll report it there… stay tuned!

Now I’m in London for work and I’m tasting how the UK market thinking of Silverlight.
I find a lots of magazine that talk about Silverlight Technology, Web Design add an insert with 4 tutorials on expression studio, in Macworld there is an interview to Adobe Chief on what Adobe think about this technology…

I speak also with people who works in IT market and they are so optimist in Adobe “egemony” for multimedia technology.

Silverlight is a so interesting technology, and a lot of people are talking about it.

Next week there will be ReMix in Milan, I’ll go and I report my impression about new Microsoft software…stay tuned!

In Mike Chambers’ blog I found a very interesting news about Actionscript 3 library for a direct connection with MySql.
The project name is asSql and it is in alpha version, but I think that we must keep in touch with it because it will be so useful resource.

Andrea Trento notify me an interesting video on Silverlight.
In fact, in this video, you can watch new Microsoft software in action on Windows Mobile device.

I think that we must take a look in this technology because it will be new interesting features in the next months.

On 15 May from 16.00 to 18.00, Let’s course presents Flash Gaming course, seminar will be totally free and it will be at Let’s course heaquarter (Via Croce Rossa 112 - Padova - Italy).

In this event we show course arguments, teachers and so on.
Also we present next courses and free event like PHP seminar.

Microsoft organizes ReMIX 2007 in Milan on 29th and 30th May.
Special guest is Forest Key that is the director of the core Web/Client UX Platform & Tools team at Microsoft Corp.

In this event we will see the latest news launched at Las Vegas MIX, like Silverlight or Expression Studio.

Event is totally free but you must register yourself.

I’ll go there to understand better what is silverlight and its powerfull features, then I promise to give you a post on the event!
